CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities released the identity of the victim killed early Sunday morning at a nightclub in downtown Cleveland.
Monte Baker, 23, of Cleveland died after a shooting at Medusa Restaurant and Lounge at 1437 St. Clair Ave., according to police and the office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner.
Officers responded to the nightclub and found Baker with gunshot wounds, said Cleveland police spokesman Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz.
Baker was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police have not made any arrests or identified any suspects in connection with the shooting. Details about what led up to the attack remain unknown.
Cleveland homicide detectives are investigating.
