PHOENIX — A man is dead after a work-related death in Phoenix on Monday morning, according to the city's police department.

Police said that at about 10:15 a.m., officers were called to a business in the area of 35th Avenue and Durango Street due to an employee injured at work.

When police arrived on the scene, a man had life-threatening injuries and life-saving measures were performed. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and took the man to the hospital, where he later died.

Police said they are not treating this incident as criminal.

Phoenix Fire said the situation reportedly involved a forklift.
