CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland man was sentenced to 18 years in prison after terrorizing employees at a bank and several local businesses during armed robberies.
Reginald J. Wimberly, Jr., 24, was sentenced to 18 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Bridget Meehan Brennan after he plead guilty in August, according to a release by the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.
The counts he plead guilty to are:
Four counts of Hobbs Act violations for Interference with Commerce by Robbery
Two counts of Using, Carrying, and Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to Crime of Violence
One count of Bank Robbery
Wimberly was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release after imprisonment and pay $1,426 in restitution.
