Transport Scotland has warned that travel disruption is expected in large parts of the country this week due to Storm Bram which is set to bring high winds and heavy rain. The Met Office has issued an amber warning for high winds of up to 90mph covering parts of the North West coast and Western Isles, from 16:00 on Tuesday, December 9 through to midnight. ‌

A second, less severe yellow wind warning is also in place for the entirety of Scotland from noon Tuesday, December 9 into Wednesday, December 10. A yellow rain warning in parts of Central Scotland also runs from 06:00 tomorrow until noon. ‌
