TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department has identified the 33-year-old victim in the fatal crash that happened on Sunday afternoon.

Oscar Pedro Salazar, 33, was identified as the victim in the fatal crash.

According to TPD, Operations Division South officers responded to reports of a crash with serious injuries near South Sixth Avenue and East Michigan Drive on Dec. 7 around 3 p.m.

TPD said Salazar was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witness statements and evidence revealed Salazar was driving a Hyundai Elantra east on Michigan Drive. The 33-year-old "proceeded from the stop sign" and was fatally struck by a Ford Mustang driving north on Sixth Avenue.
