A vehicle caught on fire Monday afternoon on Interstate 75 Northbound.

It happened around 1:17pm. The vehicle fire was near mile marker 15 in Hamilton County, just north of Ooltewah Georgetown Road.

As of 2:20pm, the fire was extinguished and all lanes were open, but the northbound right shoulder of I-75 was still blocked.
