At 12:59 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm watch valid from Wednesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 7 a.m. for Oneida County.
"Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 7 or more inches possible," explains the weather service. "In this wintry pattern, there may be minor snow amounts before and after the Watch timeframe, but heaviest snow potential is Wednesday."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes," says the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation."
