Srinagar, Dec 8: Srinagar Police have launched a citywide crackdown on hotels, homestays, and houseboats for failing to report the stay of foreign nationals under mandatory Form C rules. The action follows routine inspections aimed at tightening security in the summer capital.
During the checks, police found several establishments allowing foreign guests to stay without submitting the required details to the Foreigners Registration Office. Officials said this is a clear violation of the Immigration and Foreigners Act and poses serious security risks.
