Typically, when we talk about something relocating in NYC, we mean it’s moving to a new address. But it’s not every day that a whole building is lifted by a crane and literally dropped into a new spot . Then again, this is New York City, so are we really that surprised?
But before we dive into that, let’s rewind .
Back in 1968, the Wythe Diner officially opened its doors , beginning what would become a historic run as an iconic Brooklyn eatery, wearing many hats during its time. True to its name, it began as a diner, before being sold in 1997 and operating as a relish restaurant up until 2010. Eventually it operated as La Equina up until 2018.
It made appearances in various films throughout its five decades , including “Men In Black 3” and “The Good Shepard
