LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Congressman Morgan McGarvey (D- Louisville) said he has been in touch with the Louisville post office to make sure they have what they need going into the holiday season.
However, a union member at Louisville's branch 14 of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) told WHAS11 News staffing shortages inside the distribution facilities are causing packages to pile up, leading to lighter bags for the mail carriers making deliveries.
They spoke to WHAS11 on the condition of anonymity for fear of losing their job.
