CLEVELAND, Ohio — U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi recently brushed aside allegations of discrimination tied to the administration’s firing of a Cleveland immigration judge.
Bondi, speaking at a White House Cabinet meeting with President Donald Trump last week, noted the sheer volume of lawsuits filed against the administration.
She pushed back on the lawsuit filed by Tania Nemer , a Summit County attorney who was fired as an immigration judge weeks into Trump’s term. Nemer accused Bondi and her office of violating civil rights laws and discriminating against her because of her gender, Lebanese heritage, and Democratic political affiliation.
“Last I checked, I was a woman as well,” she said, according to Fox News.
Bondi said it was one of about 575 lawsuits filed against the Trump
