Mumbai, Dec 9: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction will feature 350 players — including 240 Indians and 110 overseas cricketers — when bidding begins in Abu Dhabi on December 16, officials said. South Africa’s Quinton de Kock, who recently reversed his ODI retirement, has been added late to the final list with a base price of ₹1 crore.

Australia’s Steve Smith, returning to the IPL for the first time since 2021, features with a ₹2 crore base price. The final pool was narrowed down from 1,390 initial registrations to 1,005 names before 350 players were shortlisted for 77 available slots across 10 teams in the league’s 19th edition.
