New Delhi: As many as 350 cricketers, including 240 Indians, will go under the hammer at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) removed 1,005 names from the longlist and added 35 new names, including South African wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock. The players were added to the list even though they were not on the original list of players for the auction. The BCCI has reduced the final list to 350 players (111 capped and 267 uncapped players).
De Kock, who recently reversed his ODI retirement, has been kept at a base price of Rs 1 crore. The list also comprises Australian batter Steve Smith, who last played in the IPL in 2021, at a base price of Rs 2 crore.
