HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas man who traveled to a Walmart to meet someone he believed to be a child was arrested during an undercover online operation.
Oscar Campos, 33, of Kerens, was booked into the Henderson County Jail on charges of online solicitation of a minor and evading arrest Monday.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force's undercover online operation led to his arrest in the Athens Walmart.
The sheriff's office says he had been having online and phone conversations that were sexually explicit with someone he believed to be a child. When Campos arrived at the location, he tried to enter the car where he thought the child would be, but he was met with an investigator instead.
