Two people are in serious condition Tuesday after they were trapped inside vehicles in a three-car crash in Northridge.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded at 7:55 p.m. Monday to 8845 N. Balboa Blvd. and Mayall Street where they found one vehicle had crashed into the front of a building and the second into a tree, said LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.

The trapped victims were freed by firefighters and taken to hospitals and four others were treated at the scene, Middleton said.
