An incident similar to the Nirbhaya case has occurred in Atkot, Rajkot district, Gujarat. The accused attempted to rape a six-year-old girl. When he failed, he inserted a rod into her private parts. The girl has been admitted to a hospital in Rajkot.

Police interrogated approximately 100 suspects to identify the accused. They subsequently identified Ramsingh Tersingh and arrested him. The accused is a resident of Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh.
