Free agent designated hitter Kyle Schwarber has made a decision on which team he’ll be suiting up for in 2026.

“Kyle Schwarber is running it back! Schwarber will suit up for Team USA in the #WorldBaseballClassic !” the official MLB account posted on X.

USA Today MLB columnist Bob Nightengale teased Schwarber’s decision on Tuesday morning amid the rampant rumors surrounding the slugger’s free agency.

“DH Kyle Schwarber has agreed… to represent Team USA in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Catcher Will Smith and Shortstop Gunnar Henderson will also be on the roster,” Nightengale posted on Bluesky.
