Former Derby County striker James Collins will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured ACL.

Collins suffered the injury during an EFL Trophy clash with Huddersfield Town last week and will go under the knife in the next seven to 10 days.

The former Cardiff striker has been an impressive signing for Lincoln since moving to Sincil Bank from Derby last season.

And head coach Michael Skubala says his absence will be acutely felt not just on the pitch but off it too particularly with Ben House also ruled out for the next eight weeks.
