A Stop & Shop in Clinton is closing.

A spokesperson said the company decided to not renew its lease for the store at 215 East Main St.

The store was not meeing financial expectations, according to the spokesperson.

It will stay open through the end of 2026.

All employees at the Clinton store will be able to transfer to other locations, the spokesperson said.
