FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - After a few snow showers this morning, we will stay dry for the rest of the afternoon. Rain showers arrive tonight as temperatures go above freezing for only the fourth time in the last 2 weeks. Rain will continue overnight before transitioning into a few snowflakes tomorrow morning. Wind gusts also pick up over the next 48 hours as gusts will pick up between 30-35mph.
Between the wind gusts, rain, and warmer temperatures, snow should start to melt over the next few days. Snow depth is expected to shrink almost entirely despite snow showers returning later in the day tomorrow with a few more chances for snow to end the week. We are not expecting any major impacts right now, but we are monitoring the potential for more snow to end the week before temperatures drop
