The Spartanburg County measles outbreak has grown by another 27 cases, including 16 additional cases from an exposure at the Way of Truth Church in Inman, the state Department of Health reported Dec. 9.
The new cases bring the outbreak total to 111 so far and 114 statewide since July. DPH reports there are 254 people in quarantine and 16 in isolation.
Additionally, the health agency has identified public exposures at Inman Intermediate School associated with the latest confirmed cases. DPH began notifying potentially exposed students, teachers and staff at IIS Dec. 5 and reports 43 students are now in quarantine.
