On Tuesday at 1:19 p.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Wednesday 10 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Erie and Genesee counties.

The weather service adds to expect, "Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches. Lake effect snow this evening will produce 1 to 3 inches across the Buffalo Northtowns and Niagara County. Widespread snow will then produce a few more inches of snow late tonight through Wednesday morning for the entire region."

"Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute," comments the weather service. "Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving."
