The Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission at its Dec. 11 public meeting will consider a zoning case and a continuance, both for proposed projects located in north Peoria.
The commission will consider a proposal to rezone about 280 acres from SR-43, or Suburban Ranch with 1-acre minimum lots, to planned area development to facilitate the development of up to 655 single-family residential lots near Lone Mountain Parkway and the 135th Avenue alignment.
PAD allows for a more customized zoning to mirror the surrounding neighborhood character, integrating a mix of residential uses, parks, trails and open space for this project.
The commission is a 7-member board that makes recommendations to the city council that will have final approval on this case.
The proposal includes a mix of lot sizes
