NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — North Charleston Police say a man is facing charges following a physical domestic incident early Tuesday morning.
Alexander Garcia, 36, is charged with kidnapping, domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and resisting arrest, according to jail resources.
Officers responded to a reported physical domestic disturbance at a Breeders’ Cup Drive house just before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, the victim and Garcia’s mom had escaped outside.
The victim told officers that the incident began when Garcia told her he had killed a cat, which led to a physical altercation. She alleged that he smacked her, kicked in a bathroom door, dragged her by the hair and punched her multiple times in the face and head. His mother attempted to intervene, but was unable to.
