The Pittsburgh Steelers got a positive update on wide receiver DK Metcalf’s abdominal injury on Tuesday. Metcalf, who made it back to Pittsburgh on Monday,
The team initially took Metcalf off their flight from Baltimore to the hospital and he stayed overnight in the city while they made sure he was okay.
Head coach Mike Tomlin said he was in the abdomen during the game and the pains got progressively worse. The team did not want to get into the air in case it was a potentially serious injury.
“He got hit in the abdomen or stomach in-game. I think they gave him some basic, over-the-counter remedies in-game, like Pepto (Bismol) or something like that and it got probably progressively worse after the game, and so I’m appreciative of our medical experts. We just exercised an abundance o
