Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed ended any speculation about his future Monday, reaffirming his commitment to the Aggies and dismissing the idea he might bolt for another College Football Playoff contender in search of a lucrative NIL deal.

“I’m coming back,” Reed said on Robert Griffin III’s “Outta Pocket” podcast. “I’ll be back.”

Reed has thrown for 2,932 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while leading Texas A&M to its first-ever CFP berth. Some scouts considered him early NFL draft candidate. But the NIL era keeps the sport competitive.
