MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - One of two suspects who were charged as teens in a 2024 robbery-turned-murder in South Memphis has had his case moved to adult court after turning 18.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office has identified the now-adult suspect as Arthur Jones Jr.

He was 17 at the time of the murder.

Jones’ bond is set at $400,000—less than half of the state’s requested $1 million bond.

Prosecutors allege that Jones was part of an orchestrated robbery on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, along Hernando Road in Memphis, aimed at securing car programmers and key fobs to further ongoing crimes involving stolen cars.

Investigators say shots were fired during the act, killing 21-year-old Israeli locksmith, Aviv Broek.
