MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office confirms that the teenage suspect charged in connection with a shooting that happened during 901 Day celebrations in Downtown Memphis has had his case moved to adult court.
Joshua Hicks and his mother, Suntria Stackins, were both arrested and charged back in September after gunfire on Beale Street hit a 17-year-old multiple times, leaving him critically injured.
Upon his arrest, Hicks was charged with attempted second-degree murder and employment of a firearm to commit a dangerous felony.
Stackins was charged with being an accessory after the fact, but that charge has since been dismissed.
