Wind chills in Chicago Friday-Saturday will be 10-25 degrees BELOW ZERO along with blowing snow. Temperatures 15-25+ degrees below average.
The big question? How far south will the polar plunge reach by early next week?
For the Gulf Coast? This arctic blast may sideswipe the region early next week, but it appears the core of the dangerously cold air will stay northeast of the immediate Gulf Coast.
Areas like Atlanta-Raleigh-Charlotte could see overnight lows in the teens by early next week. Stay tuned!
