NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Montgomery County is looking for its next commissioner.
The Montgomery County Commission announced Tuesday that it is accepting applications for the District 6 Commissioner after Michael Lankford stepped down from that role to serve as the state representative for District 75.
He was required under state law to vacate that role after being appointed Monday night to the state job by the Montgomery County Commission.
