A nationwide recall is underway for thousands of gallons of Ventura Foods LLC salad dressings and sauces after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned the products may contain plastic foreign material.

The FDA first announced the recall on November 6. On December 4, the agency escalated the action to a Class II recall , indicating that the affected products could pose a health risk if consumed.

The recall covers multiple Ventura Foods dressings and condiments distributed under several brands and retailer labels, including Costco, Publix, Hidden Valley, and Pepper Mill.

The updated list includes:

Caesar Dressing (Costco Service Deli), 23.62 lb; SKU: 0 26700 19376 7
