The Michigan Wolverines continued to look like the best team in the country, dismantling the Villanova Wildcats at the Crisler Center on Tuesday night, 89-61, to improve to 9-0 overall on the season. Elliot Cadeau led the Wolverines with a season-high 18 points.
Here’s how it all went down.
Michigan got off to a quick start as Cadeau connected on a three-pointer on the opening possession. That was followed up by Aday Mara throwing down a thunderous dunk to help the Wolverines take a 10-7 lead at the first media timeout.
The Wolverines dominated the next five minutes, going on a 14-2 run that was highlighted by a windmill dunk by Yaxel Lendeborg. Cadeau continued his hot start as well, drilling another three to extend the lead to 24-9.
