EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Two men are now in a jail cell after a robbery investigation in Evansville.

Tuesday, officers say they were called to the 4600 block of N. First Avenue for an assault.

The 911 caller told police two suspects had attacked a man before fleeing the scene.

According to a police report, two victims spoke with officers and told them they met the suspects at the location to sell a computer.

During the transaction, one of the suspects allegedly tried to forcefully take the computer without paying for it.

Police say a female victim was hurt during the altercation.

Donya L. Hughes Jr., 23, was identified as one of the suspects and a description of his vehicle was provided.

EPD says they found his vehicle and pulled him over along Ridgeway Avenue.
