The volunteers of both the East End and Jasper Fire Departments were dispatched to the L-P Corporations Oriented Strand Board Mill on Highway 190, east of Jasper shortly before 7:00 on Tuesday evening when it was reported that a fire had broken out there.

Firemen arrived at the scene to find the fire burning in a dryer bin on the rear side of the manufacturing facility.

Firemen battled the blaze were able to bring it under control within a short time.

No injuries resulted from the incident.
