The parents of the teen charged with killing two Cranford girls in September called their local police department four times in August with concerns about their son, including two calls reporting he was violent.

Jeffery and Judith Battiloro’s calls to Garwood police show apparent escalating behavior by their son, Vincent Battiloro , 17.

“He sprayed me in the face with mace. He took my car,” Jeffrey Battiloro told police on Aug. 24.

Six days later, “He’s getting physical,” the father reported.

On Sept. 29, authorities allege Vincent Battiloro was behind the wheel of a family SUV that intentionally struck friends Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas on Burnside Avenue and sped away.
