FOLSOM, Calif. —
A man accused of making threats on the Folsom High School campus while possessing weapons was released on bail following a federal court hearing on Monday. However, a condition of release stipulates that he will be under house arrest outside of California.
On Sept. 24 , 53-year-old Curt Taras was accused of walking onto the campus of Folsom High while some after-school activities were underway and making threats, prompting a lockdown of the school.
"He made the comment, 'I could take this school out in 30 seconds if I needed to,'" Folsom Assistant Basketball Coach Michael Baker told KCRA 3 at the time. He said Taras also talked about "sniper points."
