Several people have voiced their disappointment and dissatisfaction with a well-liked Christmas event in Manchester, stating that the overall experience left them feeling 'disappointed' and 'underwhelmed'.

This festive season , Freight Island has been hosting a Twilight Tales event, which organisers have described as a "brand new immersive light and storytale adventure". The event features an enchanted playground, a sparkling Christmas tree forest, and a series of immersive walkthrough installations running until December 31.

The event is a follow-up to the venue's previous Twilight Trails offering and, unlike in past years, is primarily located within Freight Island. It includes food and drink pop-ups, a Santa's grotto, and a Mirrorball Cave.
