3Pedestrian fatally struck while crossing Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ – A Cherry Hill man was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Haddonfield Road, according to police.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. on December 8 near the intersection of Haddonfield Road and Yale Avenue. Preliminary findings from the Cherry Hill Police Department indicate that the pedestrian, identified as 51-year-old Gerald S. Yashinsky Jr., was attempting to cross Haddonfield Road when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.

Emergency personnel, including officers, firefighters, and EMS responders, arrived on the scene quickly and administered medical aid. Yashinsky was later pronounced dead at the scene.
