A cold front moved through the area Wednesday morning, causing the winds to gust 30-40mph.

The northerly winds will remain breezy until after the sun sets at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday night, the wind will calm down and temperatures will dip into the 50s by 6 p.m. A jacket may be needed for any outdoor plans.

Thursday morning, cool air will settle in and allow for temperatures to dip into the upper 30s for most of North Texas. During the day, expect an abundance of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the mid-60s, sitting 5-10 degrees above average.

The above-average temperatures and sunshine are forecasted to continue through Saturday. This is due to a ridge of high pressure influencing the weather pattern.
