Mister Softee’s Long Island takeover isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. The ice cream vendor will open its third brick-and-mortar location, in Miller Place, next spring.

Franchisee Steven Zoly, 34, of Mount Sinai, plans to open the store on Route 25A in May, he said in a phone interview.

The popular ice cream vendor, which opened brick-and-mortar spots in East Islip and Center Moriches this year, will take over a former bank at the Aliano Shopping Center. Other businesses also coming to the center include Jimmy John's and SoBol.

Mister Softee will have popular soft-serve flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and swirl. Patrons will also be able to add toppings such as mint chocolate chip and strawberry crunch. A baker will make custom or specialty cakes for events, Zoly said.
