Keir Starmer has outlined details of new cost-of-living support for millions of households this winter.

The Prime Minister spoke about the extended Warm Home Discount scheme in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

The WHD knocks £150 off bills for low-income households who are eligible, allowing them to put the money saved towards other things.

For the first time this year, everyone claiming Universal Credit will receive the discount.

The rule change will roughly double the number of households who will benefit from the scheme.

Other benefits also qualify including Housing Benefit, Income Support and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
