CLEVELAND — Former Rocky River police officer Michael Bernhardt was back in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for sentencing Wednesday morning, which came one month after he pleaded guilty to three counts of unauthorized use of property/computer system .
Judge Timothy McCormick, who presided over the sentencing, announced he was giving Bernhardt six months on all three counts. The judge confirmed the sentence would be served concurrently.
“You basically were living two lives... I don't understand why you did it," said Judge McCormick.
