SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - With Christmas right around the corner, many people are anticipating more packages being delivered to their homes than usual.

According to the Sioux City Police Department, that means that there is an increased likelihood that porch pirates may be looking for some easy treasures by stealing your packages off your porch.

Officer Gina Roberts says the best thing you can do to prevent your packages from getting stolen is to bring them inside as soon as possible.

“I know it’s tough because, you know, everyone has their packages dropped off.
