A man was fatally struck by a snowplow in a parking lot at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport campus Tuesday night.

Airport Police responded to a 911 call to the LSG Sky Chefs facility in the 3100 block of East 73rd Street, just south of Terminal 2, shortly after 7:30 p.m., according to Jeff Lea, Metropolitan Airports Commission.

A snowplow hit the 47-year-old man in the facility’s parking lot while a snow storm was underway.

The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting police with the investigation.

LSG Chefs is an airline catering company.
