MINNEAPOLIS — A man is dead after being struck by a snowplow Tuesday evening on the greater MSP Airport campus.

Airport spokesman Jeff Lea says the incident happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. in a parking lot of LSG Sky Chefs, located in the 3100 block of 73rd St., just south of Terminal 2.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was hit by a plow that was clearing the parking lot. A source close to the man's family identifies him as Lansanna Musa Kanneh, a husband and father who was working two jobs, including the one at the airport stocking planes with food.

Kanneh will be buried tomorrow as part of the Muslim tradition.

MSP Airport Police are investigating with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol, which routinely reconstructs accidents involving commercial vehicles like snow plows.
