LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- In hopes of exploring inclusion and city life, Lakewood continues to host Community Listening Sessions.

“The Community Listening Sessions actually came out of the work that the anti-racism task force is doing with consultant Equius Group,” Lakewood Human Services Director Chad Berry said.

“It’s for creating a citywide equity plan where we’re looking at how people are experiencing Lakewood and what can be done maybe differently or what’s being done well. So the Listening Sessions are just a part of that equity plan process that Equius is completing.”

Previously reported to be completing the effort at a $10,000 cost, Equius recently hosted the in-person sessions at the LGBT Community Center and Cove Community Center, as well as virtual affairs.
