A teenager from Trimley St Martin will be going up against the best judo athletes in the country this weekend as he continues his journey to the Olympics.
17-year-old Dom Cremer is currently the regional judo champion for the under-21 category and number two in the adult class.
On Saturday, December 13, the Suffolk New College student will be heading to Nottingham to take part in the British Championships.
He has high hopes ahead of one of his biggest tournaments to date and will participate in the event that will be livestreamed on YouTube.
He said: "I started Judo as an after-school thing.
"Then I learnt all about the heritage and after Covid I just became more passionate about it - and decided this is what I want to do as a career.
