LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - After a week-long search, Lake City Police Department officers arrested a man accused of robbing a Dollar General store.

Officers arrested Aljowan Jones of Lake City on Tuesday on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and petit theft.

Police department officials say officers initially responded to the Dollar General on Northeast Bascom Norris Drive on Dec. 2, around 6:30 p.m.

A store employee told officers that Jones walked out of the store with alcohol without paying. The employee followed him out and confronted him.

Jones then lifted his shirt to reveal the handgun in his waistband and threatened to kill the employee.
