LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. —

The Laurens County coroner's office says one person is dead after a car-versus-tree crash.

The coroner says it happened in the area of Lincoln Road and Ora Road just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the coroner, the driver died at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Spencer Edge of Laurens.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also investigating the crash.
