The St. Louis Blues will be without one of their top scorers for some time.
Jordan Kyrou has been placed on injured reserve and is listed as week-to-week, the team announced on Wednesday.
Kyrou was injured in the Dec. 6 game against the Ottawa Senators, when he was on the receiving end of a hit from Stephen Halliday.
He underwent an MRI, the results of which Blues general manager Doug Armstong was satisfied.
“It’s kind of what we thought it would be. We’re happy with the results of the MRI, considering it could have been longer,” Armstrong told reporters Tuesday.
In 28 games this season, the 27-year-old Kyrou has eight goals and 16 points.
The 11-13-7 Blues sit two points outside of a wild-card spot in the West.
